Commencement of the HoKa Hospitality Training Program for 100 Tourism Professionals in Preah Sihanouk Province!
Preah Sihanouk Province, January 9, 2025 — Under the high authorization of His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, the HoKa Steering Committee, in collaboration with the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents (CATA) and with financial support from the Skills Development Fund (SDF), has officially launched the Cambodia Hospitality (HoKa) training program for 100 youths in Preah Sihanouk Province.
The official launching ceremony for the HoKa training program—covering Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Services, and Culinary Arts—was presided over by Mr. Samut Sothearith, Deputy Governor and representative of His Excellency Mang Sineth, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province; Oknha Chhay Sivlin, President of CATA; and Mr. Ky Sokkim, Chief Executive Officer of the Skills Development Fund (SDF). The event was attended by approximately 150 participants, including representatives from relevant provincial departments, master trainers, HoKa trainees, and local tourism operators.
This training initiative is part of the strategic expansion of the HoKa program into Preah Sihanouk Province. It aims to strengthen the professional competencies of staff within the tourism sector, enhance the quality of hospitality services, and facilitate lifelong learning opportunities for tourism professionals, managers, and business owners alike.
