Ministry of Tourism Promotes the Implementation of the Dual Vocational Education and Training (Dual VET) Program in Cambodia!
On November 26, 2025, Mr. Chuob Ratana, Director of the Department of Tourism Professional Training Department, participated in a workshop reflecting on the outcomes of a study visit to Switzerland in September 2025. The workshop was presided over by His Excellency Hing Sideth, Director General of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (DG-TVET), and Mr. Christian Disler, Deputy Head of Cooperation at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), along with various stakeholders, totaling approximately 70 attendees.
The primary objective of this workshop was to reflect upon the results and experiences gained by the working group during the visit to Switzerland in September 2025. Furthermore, the workshop aimed to gather additional input for the preparation and development of the implementation project for the Dual Vocational Education and Training (Dual VET) and Apprenticeship programs in Cambodia.
On that occasion, Mr. Chuob Ratana requested support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to explore the feasibility of developing a pilot project for the implementation of the Dual Vocational Education and Training (Dual VET) program within the tourism sector in Cambodia.
