On 2 December 2025, the Ministry of Tourism, the Siem Reap Provincial Tourism Club Association (STC), and the Skills Development Fund (SDF) organized the closing ceremony of the HOKA Hospitality Training Program. The event included the presentation of certificates to trainees who successfully completed Phase III of the hospitality training, totaling 200 graduates. The ceremony was held at Memoire Palace Resort & Spa under the high presidency of H.E. Pak Sokhom, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism, representing H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism. Also present was H.E. Ngov Seng Kak, Deputy Governor of the Siem Reap Provincial Administration, representing H.E. Prak Sophorn, Governor of Siem Reap Province. The event was attended by approximately 300 stakeholders.
This training program was implemented with co-financing support from the Skills Development Fund (SDF) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. It targeted youth from poor and vulnerable households across Siem Reap Province and was conducted over eight months—four months of theoretical and practical classroom learning, followed by four months of on-site practicum at tourism business establishments according to each specialization. The 200 newly trained tourism professionals completed skill tracks in: (1) Front Office Operations, (2) Food and Beverage Service, (3) Housekeeping, and (4) Culinary Arts. The program applied the curriculum of the Ministry of Tourism’s HOKA Training Program and the Skills Development Programme (SDP) of Swisscontact.
It should be noted that the Siem Reap Provincial Tourism Club Association, with co-financing support from the Skills Development Fund (SDF) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and technical support from the Ministry of Tourism’s HOKA Training Program, has conducted three training cohorts for youth from poor and vulnerable households since 2023. These cohorts have produced a total of 700 graduates who have been integrated into the labor market in Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk Province, Phnom Penh Capital, and other provinces across the country.
