The Ministry of Tourism Participates in the Implementation of the Decent Employment for Youth in Cambodia (DEY) Project Phase III, 2024-2028.
On February 5, 2026, Mr. Chuob Ratana, Director of Tourism Professional Training Department, attended the Joint Working Group Meeting of the "Decent Employment for Youth in Cambodia (DEY) Phase III" project. The session focused on finalizing the 2026 Annual Action Plan for Project Board approval, reviewing the draft itinerary for the Project Board’s mission to Battambang Province, and conducting the formal transition of the working group’s co-chairmanship.
Under the high authorization of His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, the Department of Tourism Vocational Training has been actively instrumental in implementing the project through the following strategic initiatives:
• Curriculum Development: Developing comprehensive training materials for Master Trainers and Lead Assessors in strict accordance with National Qualifications standards.
• Capacity Building: Facilitating training sessions for Master Trainers and Lead Assessors regarding Technical and Vocational Education and Training Certificate 1 (TVET 1) in Front Office Operations and Food & Beverage Services.
• Promotion & Accreditation: Organizing dissemination workshops on the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) mechanism and facilitating the registration processes for authorized Assessment Centers.
