The Ministry of Tourism Prioritizes the Advancement of Professional Barista Competencies!
On February 6, 2026, with the authorization of H.E. Chhun Makara, Director General of Tourism Industry Management, Mr. Chuob Ratana, Director of Tourism Professional Training Department and Head of the National Committee for Tourism Professionals (NCTP) Secretariat, alongside Mr. Chea Vibol, Executive Director of B-Hub Training Center, participated as guest speakers in an interview on Bayon Television’s "My Career" program.
The interview highlighted a collaborative, tuition-free "Barista" vocational training initiative established between the Ministry of Tourism and the B-Hub Training Center. Commencing on February 19, 2026, the program comprises two cohorts, with an intake of 22 trainees per session. Upon completion, participants will receive professional competency certification officially endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism. The curriculum facilitates a comprehensive learning experience through theoretical instruction and practical application, covering the coffee industry landscape, bean varieties, equipment maintenance, standardized brewing procedures, and the specialized technique of Latte Art.
